Every year, the Baerathlon gets Baers moving. This year, Yogibo partnered with us to help raise money to put Yogibo’s sensory-friendly products in every class! Thank you, presenting sponsor Yogibo, and Whiting-Turner, Henry and Dorothy Rosenberg, Nancy Grasmick, Athletes Serving Athletes, V-Linc, St. Paul’s School, Waverly Construction, Compass Cyber Security and city schools employees who came out to cheer on our Baers!
Go Baers go!
Nancy Grasmick, one of our generous sponsors, welcomed the Baerathletes and volunteers. Ms. Grasmick started her long and celebrated career in education as a teacher at the Baer School!
Partnership Board President Graham Kastendike introduced his son, Chris Kastendike.
The boys from St. Paul’s School helped organize and run the event, and they were so good they could give professional event planners some tips! Who is that in the bear costume? That’s Brady!
V-Linc, an organization that pairs student engineers in their senior year of college with kids with disabilities, to create an enabling device for the kids, brought back its engineers to reunite the engineers with the Baer students whose device they designed!
Ms. Kelly and Ms. Gardiner ran the crafts area.
Waverly Construction came out to help!
As did Principal Emeritus and current Partnership Board Member Patrick Crouse. He brought many of his friends from BCPS to volunteer! TyJay is happy to see him again!
Thank you, Yogibo, for being our presenting sponsor, and bringing a sensory lounge area (including Hugibo) to the event!
Let’s do it again next year!
